Storage quota exceeded error, but server shows 0 MB used
Problem:
Zotero desktop reports:
“You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded.”
However, in my online storage settings:
Storage quota: 300 MB (free plan)
Usage: 0 MB
So the server appears empty, but the desktop client still blocks file syncing.
What I’ve tried:
Reset File Sync History
Restarted Zotero
Confirmed I’m using Zotero storage (not WebDAV)

adamsmithIn almost all cases that means you're not syncing with the same account you're looking at online. Compare the username in your Sync setting with the one you're seeing here.
Upgrade Storage
