Upgrade StorageIssues saving User Preferences

I use Zotero on my Windows machine for a while now, but I face issues over the past weeks regarding saving my user preferences when restarting the program (not even the entire computer). It started in Zotero 7.0.9 after several months of smooth operation, and updating the app to version 8.0.4 did not help.
More specifically, I observe the following behavior:
- I have added a new column to my library view, which stays present also after restarting (just as expected).
- My Zotero account is saved in the user settings as expected as well, but the sync settings change back from my university WebDAV server to the default Zotero option when I close the app and start it again.
- Similarly, the OpenURL resolver for the library lookup provided by my university and the disabled automatic tagging option (default: true) are not saved when restarting.
These are possibly not all symptoms, but they are at least those which I observe.
This issue is so far not critical for my work in Zotero, but it is for sure unnecessarily cumbersome to change all my settings all over again when I have closed the app.
Does anybody know this issue? If so, do you know how to permanently save my preferences?

If it's configured correctly, you should temporarily disable any proprietary security software that you may be running and see if that helps.
