I have completed an alpha version of a Zotero 8 based plugin that replicates many of juris-m's features. It uses the .csl and .json files but hooks into the cite system to do the cite handling without modifying root source code. There is also a way to add new abbreviations and jurisdiction codes. This is an alpha - test on a repository that's not syncing, though it's minimally invasive. It keeps the juris-m extrafield data structure as is for backward compatibility.
