Chicago 18th Style or MHRA bibliography not chronological
Hello,
I am finishing up a thesis using MHRA, but the bibliography would never sort in chronological order (for four years now!). It's not even reverse chronology, but just completely jumbled. I changed to Chicago 18th Style today and it has the same problem.
I'm not much of a computer guru - I've tried to edit the code in 'style editor' but nothing seems to save. I'm very stuck! Help!
Thank you!

adamsmithThey're not jumbled, they're alphabetical by title as per Chicago 18th ed., 13.70. That's correct sorting -- you'd have to modify the style to change this (Chicago author-date styles are, of course, sorted by date for the same author).

willmoorewillAh, I see. But Chicago author-date is in-text. I need a footnote and bibliography style that orders multiple works by one author by date...
