problem w/syncing /conflict resolution

I have the newest version of Zotero on both my laptop and netbook. I had no trouble setting both machines up to sync with the server -- all my stuff is in My Library, and both machines have everything (duplicated, unfortunately, on the netbook).

When I added new stuff to my netbook and then tried to sync, it gave me the conflict resolution dialog box, with three columns "local," "remote," and "merged." When i choose a version, nothing happens. If I close the box and try to sync again, the same box comes up -- always with the same item, and a note on the bottom right-hand corner "1 of 5."

Here is the debug number: D2013762294

I've seen a similar issue on the forum, but the suggestion to download the newest version is something I've already done on both machines, so I don't know how otherwise to fix it.

Thanks.
  • You simply need to choose a version to keep (which puts a red box around it and shows it in the right ("Merged") pane) and then click Next. From your debug output, it simply looks like you're clicking Cancel rather than Next.

But regardless, if you have all your data on one machine, there's no need to merge the two and get duplicates of everything. You can use the reset options to transfer one complete library to the other machine.
