Bibliography not Updating

I copied in-text citations from one word document into a new word document. The bibliography is not updating. The in-text citations are highlighted in grey. How do I get the bibliography to update? It is missing sources and the numbering is wrong.

    The bibliography may have gotten flattened somehow (though generally that would affect the whole document, including citations). Delete it and reinsert it.
