Zotero Library - File Recovery to new computer?
Dear Zotero forum members,
I am posing what I will guess is not a first time question. My computer crashed unexpectedly, and while my sources are "safe" in my library, the PDF file documents that were attached to them are not. Is there any way to retroactively recover these or am I doomed to re-collect them one by one and learn for the future to sync my files? (I'm in the last year of my dissertation program, so a slightly tragic loss, but grateful I have the information needed to track them down along the way). Thank you in advance for any help!

If that's right, you can likely get a good number using right-click --> Find available PDF. Do that
a) in small-ish groups of items, say about 100 at a time
b) ideally on campus, because you have access to more paywalled resources there (web proxies don't work for this)
