The in text referencing style is incorrect. It should be in alphabetical order as referred here "Cite references in the text in alphabetical order first, and chronological order second."

Here it is the Plant and Soil style guidelines, this should also be applied to other Springer Nature styles.

As this is a dependent style, we'd need to either make a variant of this springer-basic-author.csl style or a completely independent style.
