Call Numbers
Hi Everyone,
Here is my dilemma: My boss has been using Libib for years to catalog his home library (4K+ volumes). Every book is labeled and cataloged by Call Number. He would like to have one database to search his entire library plus journal articles. I recommended Zotero. However, the only export option for Libib is CSV. I've been racking my brain trying to find solutions, but so far, I haven't found any good solutions.
I've tried copy-pasting the ISBNs from the CSV into the magic wand field, but I never get any Call Numbers. I've looked for a plug in that would complete this information, but not even Linter would populate the Call Number field. I also explored other apps that might import a CSV and then export a .BIB file, RIS, or MARC, but haven't found one. I've also tried creating a .BIB file with just the author, ISBN, and the Call Number (which would not import into the correct field even though I used the .BIB file from Zotero as a template and used 'lccn', and it put the info into the extra field as 'tex.lccn:'), hoping to complete the info with Linter. But again, still to no avail.
So, none of the solutions have worked. Anybody have any other ideas? I would sure appreciate it.
