Plugins page out of date

hi, so since there is no possibility to report from within the zotero documentation, i open this thread. some of the plugins listed need to be moved to the "not longer maintained" area, or there should be a "for old zotero versions only":

- voyant export: github page states itself that it is unmaintained, last edit 9 years ago
- lyz: incompatible with current zotero version, last github release 2021
- memento: incompatible with current zotero version, last github release 2021
- doi manager: incompatible with current zotero version, last github release 2024

this means 4 of the 5 plugins i wanted to download from the plugins page were unavailable
  • Yeah, the page is a mess; at this point I'd basically ignore it -- Zotero devs have mentioned they're planning something better.
Currently the best place to look is the Zotero Plugin Market maintained by a Chinese plugin developer: github.com/syt2/zotero-addons?tab=readme-ov-file

You can also just rely on the linked 'raw' data without installing the plugin
  • From the page linked by adamsmith, you can find the webpage version for a quick screening: https://zotero-chinese.com/plugins/

It is in Chinese, but the description of the plugin appears in English for many plugins. You can filter by Zotero version for the compatibility, and see the number of stars of each github page to get an idea on the dynamics of the plugin:

  • We have recently launched the English version of this page. Please visit https://zotero-chinese.com/en/plugins/ or switch languages in the top-right corner of the Chinese page.
  • Additionally, I maintain the linter plugin, and I have integrated most of the functionality from the doi manager plugin into linter. Should you require doi management capabilities, you may wish to explore the linter plugin.
