Urban Forestry and Urban Greening citation style crashes Zotero

Recently, when I tried to change the citation style specifically to "Urban Forestry and Urban Greening", Zotero froze and crashed. I cannot even make a Report or Debug report because of it, because Zotero froze before anything could be done. It doesn't happen with other citation styles, only with this one (Win 11).

I tried to change the style even on another computer, but the same thing happens (Win 10).

Did anything similar happen with others?
  • And this only happens with this citation style or any other style? Because I doubt it's an issue with the style itself.
  • It happens with the author-year-based styles. But I can change the style on the number-based citations when there are only numbers in the text and the full reference is at the end of the text (e.g Nature or Plos One). But I tested it around today, and several author-year-based styles forze Zotero the same.
  • Freeze and crash are not the same. How long have you waited with it frozen?
  • The first time, I waited like 10 minutes. The second time was like 5 minutes. In the subsequent several experiments, I did not wait around, because I knew nothing would happen.

I can otherwise insert citations without problems into the document, and I can work with it. Only it is not willing to change the citation style to the one I need.
  • How long is your document? Is this on Windows or Mac?
  • It's windows (see 1st post), so it really shouldn't take this long. Can you try letting it run for 30mins once? If that doesn't work, we'll need to get debug output via terminal
  • I tried to run Zotero for more than an hour now, and it is still frozen. The terminal is also frozen, so despite I enabled logging activity, I cannot send the report. And if I restart Zotero, I think I lose the debug log. After restarting the program, this debug log was generated (D323841174).

The only thing I think I can try is to unlink the document from Zotero, and redo all the citations.
  • Can you go to Help → Debug Output Logging → View Output, position that window so that it stays visible, reproduce the freeze, and then post a screenshot of the debug window?
