Missing “Number of Pages” field for books in Zotero

When adding whole books in Zotero, I can’t find any option to enter the total number of pages, or at least I don’t see where this field should be. Could someone help me figure out how to record the number of pages for books?

It's just the "# of Pages" field in the right-hand pane.

If this is the correct field (#of pages) to enter the total number of pages of a book, then there might be another issue. Even when I fill in this field, it doesn’t appear in the generated reference....What am I doing wrong?

The number of pages of the book wouldn't appear in references.

Are you thinking about the page number for individual citations? You enter that in the citation dialog when adding a citation:

I am using the reference style I frequently need (Mammalian Biology). In this journal, as in many others, the total number of pages of a book is required in the reference.
When I fill in the # of pages field, and then generate the reference (Ctrl+Shift+C) and paste it into my text editor, the number of pages does not appear.
Here is the format I need (with total number of pages):
Leonardi G, Carvalho IS (2021) Dinosaur tracks from Brazil: a lost world of Gondwana. Indiana University Press, Bloomington, Indiana, USA. p 456
But this is what Zotero generates:
Leonardi, G., Carvalho, Ismar de Souza, 2021. Dinosaur Tracks from Brazil: A Lost World of Gondwana. Indiana University Press. https://doi.org/10.2307/j.ctv21hrht1
Do you understand my problem? What am I doing wrong?

Page numbers are only necessary for book chapters.

(Citation styles _can_ add this field, to be clear, and some do, but it's not a common requirement and this style doesn't seem to require it as per mjthoraval)
