Now, with Zotero 8, when I copy a tag with a comma, always opens a Split Tags window suggesting splitting into multiple tags on the comma(s).
Is there some way to configure the character for splitting tags, let's say to a ; or : or |. Or even don't splitting. I looked for that in Zotero Settings, and also in Config Editor, but I didn't find.

,and;characters are considered, and, if detected, a Split Tag popup opens with the first detected delimiter. There is currently no option to configure this behavior.However, if the Split Tag feature is used manually from the context menu in the Tag Selector (bottom left corner), it will remember the last used delimiter.
I tried splitting manually for the Tag Selector context menu a tag by ; but when I paste tags with comma it opens again the Split Tag popup. It really slows down which should be a quick task. I understand its usefulness, but it should be configurable, both if appear when pasting, and also the specific character to take into account.
Shouldn't this work in the Zotero Connection browser extension also?
If I remember correctly this used to work with the old extension (prior to 8). Expected behavior was that if tags were entered with a comma they would separate automatically becoming individual tags, now they get lumped as 1 tag with commas, unless you enter each one in and press enter. I sometimes copy and past "keywords" (specifically only when the auto-tagger doesn't get them).
otherwise, I found out that it still works in main app with the tag separator popup if I enter them into the tag field of the item, just not with the extension.
