When exporting from Endnote with a RIS-filter and opening it as a text file, the LB field and information is there.
Importing the file to Zotero, however, it is missing. I have built up my library with crucial information about the archiving of more than 1000 references in the LB field, Thus, it is crucial to be able to successfully import it to be able to switch to Zotero.
Anyone able to help on this issue?
If you have just a few, you could export several RIS files and import them as distinct Zotero collections.
If you have many, you could turn your label into a keyword (replace LB with KW in your RIS file) and import this modified file into Zotero.
These are just two simple ideas to import your references into Zotero - there could be alternatives or further steps depending on how you use/intend to use the label, so feel free to elaborate and we can try to offer more specific suggestions.
But what you suggest is that I may be able to copy paste the entire coloumn from LB to KW directly in a RIS file?
So yes, I'm suggesting to modify the RIS file using a text editor: replace all occurrences of "LB -" with "KW -" and you should be able to import that modified RIS into Zotero, with your labels appearing as tags for the relevant items. You can test that in a dedicated collection: you can simply delete the content of the collection if something is wrong.
Again, this is just one possible idea, I don't know how convenient it is for you.
