Cannot open Zotero “Already Running but Not Responding”
Hi all,
I’m experiencing a persistent issue where Zotero will not open and displays the following message:

However:
- Zotero is not visible on screen.
- I cannot access the application window.
- Clicking “Close Zotero” closes the pop-up, until the same pops up again, and repeats.
System details
Windows 10 (64-bit)
Zotero version 7.0.32 -> 8.0.3
Word plugin installed
What I have tried
- Closed Word
- Ended Zotero processes in task manager (only appear with pop-up window)
- Restarted the computer
- Uninstalled Zotero and reinstalled the latest version.
Still receive the same “already running” message immediately on launch.

Deleted 0KB `parent.lock` file
