ISBN found through Zotero application but not through the translation-server

I'm trying to get entry data for this isbn: 9781570619731 (gardening book). The Zotero application's magic wand tool (Add item(s) by identifier) handles this perfectly. zotero/translation-server fails:

What could explain this discrepancy between the two? How can I debug further?

    The Worldcat translator was updated yesterday -- I'd guess you just didn't update the translator submodule?

    I don't think that's the problem. I pulled the repository yesterday around the time I posted this question. I wouldn't think I'd need to update anything so soon.

    Just to be sure, before posting this, I ran `git submodule update --recursive --remote`, restarted the server, and tried the curl again. I got the same "No items returned from any translator" error.

    Other ISBNs work, or are ISBNs broken in general? Try e.g. 9780521546744

    You need to actually do a `git pull` in `modules/translators`. `git submodule update` just updates you to the last pinned commit, which was three months ago.

    Oh, sorry, I missed that you used `--remote`.

    We'd need to see debug output for a run to say more. WorldCat employs some anti-bot measures, so could just be that.

    Yeah, I get a 429 Too Many Requests (for a single request) from WorldCat from translation-server.

    Probably not much we can do about it, since it's just Cloudflare blocking, but we can see.

    What would cause the Zotero app to succeed when the translation-server wouldn't? Is that a coincidence? Are the two using separate keys? Could I provide my own key?

    As I say, it's just Cloudflare blocking. A server daemon doesn't look like a real person's browser. There are no "keys".
