How to hide the annotation sticky note icon?

I want to hide the annotation sticky note icon, as the icon obstructs the text and affects readability. (zotero8)

    I don't think you can. I just move them to the margins. This would be a nice feature though, especially since there's not always a lot of margin space.
    If you want to comment about specific text, you can add an annotation to a highlight.
