Missing Days of Work

Good evening,
I was working on taking notes on a file in the Zotero app throughout this week and had the notes open. Last night I closed the notes panel, but did not delete the file. This morning when trying to access the notes online on my backup device, I noticed that several days were missing. Upon further investigation, I realized that I needed to purchase additional storage. I have done that but the files have still not returned. Is there a way to retrieve these several chapters of notes that have been misplaced in the cloud somewhere?

What do you mean by "access the notes online on my backup device"? In the web library or in the Zotero app on that device?

It sounds like the notes just haven't synced from the device where you made them. Have you looked there?

This wouldn't have anything to do with storage. This is data syncing, which is free.
  • by my backup device I meant the web library- I was at work and so the application isn't downloaded on that computer. I did check my main device (where I made them) and they are gone. (I had auto sync on and zotero running at home (without the notes open) when I purchased storage so the sync started automatically.)

I've even tried bypassing the system and restoring old versions via the backup files on my computer that should have had the notes present (per timestamps) but they were still unavailable.
