Annotation unselected after switching between highlight and underline

If I switch an annotation between highlight and underline, it gets unselected.
Is it possible to keep it selected after the switch, in the same way as when switching colour?

I still observe this in the latest beta.

Independent on the discussion issue, how can the latest beta be 8.0.2 if the current release is 8.0.3?

(no beta has been released after the 8.0.3 release, so the current beta is equivalent to 8.0.3 but doesn't get tagged/built separately for that; the next beta with be 8.0.3-beta or 9.0-beta)
