Extraneous semicolon

An extraneous semicolon is appearing in citations (footnotes) after the first citation.

First footnote: Telford Taylor, The March of Conquest: The German Victories in Western Europe, 1940 (Edward Hulton, 1959), vii.

Second footnote, immediately following the first: Taylor, The March of Conquest;, viii.

I am running Zotero 8.0.2 on a desktop Windows 11 computer, using the most recent MS Word connector. The citation style is Chicago Manual of Style, 18th ed (notes and bibliography).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    This is a book? And you're adding "viii" as a page number in the Word add-in?

    It is a book, The foreword is paginated in roman numerals. In any event, I also tried it with no page number entry and the semicolon still shows up.

    Can you check that there isn't a semicolon at the end of the short title field in the Zotero metadata?

    If there isn't, can you post a screenshot of as much of the info (right hand) panel as you can?
