Cannot expand dropdown menu from keyboard

For example, in the settings, I can focus the language field. But pressing Enter or Space keys does not expand the dropdown menu. Pressing the Space bar actually moves the view downwards. The top and bottom arrows just switch to the previous or next value in the dropdown menu.

Same in the Advanced Search.

    On windows, all default native dropdowns can be opened with Alt+ArrowDown when the field is focused (e.g. conditions in advanced search, collection selector in new collection dialog, settings fields, etc.).

    But we do support opening dropdowns via Space/Enter in a few places in the main library window (e.g. "New item" dropdown), so probably no reason not to handle it in all windows as well.

    The Space key is now able to expand the dropdown menus in the latest beta.
    But it does not collapse it if I press again.

    I was expecting pressing Space to do the same as pressing Enter, to select the option currently highlighted, so that I can quickly expand and collapse the dropdown menu by pressing twice on Space.

    But I understand that this is not a standard navigation shortcut.

    No, you're right — that seems to be the standard behavior. We'll fix.
