iOS feature request: go to page

I might be missing something but the iOS PDF viewer doesnt seem to have a way to jump to a specific page number. My use case here is that I have a multi volume set in a single PDF. The pdf itself supports volume-page page numbering, e.g. 9-125 jumps to page 125 of the 9th volume. MacOS preview supports go to page natively and correctly.

Thank you!
  • There’s a page scrubber at the bottom of the page. If you don’t see it, tap the screen.
  • The page scrubber is inadequate. Basically the PDF is the standard edition of Freud’s complete works so a) it’s 8000 pages and b) it’s pretty common among citations of the Standard Edition to be like “(SE XI 246)”. With preview, I can then use goto page and punch in “11-246” and it’ll jump to the correct page, which would technically be, say, page 6700 in the pdf. Goto would generally just be super useful when working with documents I reference often.

Thank you for a fantastic product by the way!
  • Ah, sorry, I missed that part. So you're trying to navigate by page label, not by physical page number.
  • Both would be useful. I’ve attached a photo of the scrubber to give you an idea of the page number implemented by the pdf, which is suppose is the page label.

  • Oh, so you're still seeing the page label in the scrubber. We can think about a way to go to a specific page, but you can still scrub to a given page label now.
  • Just another point of friction: using the scrubber on that doc scrubs 10ish pages at a time which gets me close enough and I can just scroll to the right page, so it while not the best experience it’s manageable. However, when using an eink reader like a boox note with the android app, that slow screen refresh rate when trying to “scroll” pages is the absolute death of me. I end up using Neoreader (the native reader app) for goto functionality and that’s fine, but I’d say goto page can help with accessibility in the Zotero pdf reader.
