Blank tab opening a PDF in Zotero 8

    Just wondering if anyone else is having the issues I am having with the upgrade to Zotero 8. When opening a PDF, I get a blank tab, but the PDF does not display. This never occurred in Zotero 7. Not sure if it is related, but when opening Zotero, my items take a long time to load. Again, this is only happening in 8. I've taken a snippet of the blank tab:

    With all PDFs or only some?

    Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through reproducing this, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?

    I just tried doing a debug ID, but the fault did not happen in debug mode. I will try again soon.
    Some further info:
    Clicking on the blank tab does not change the main display.
    Clicking on any of the other PDF tabs I have open does not bring up the display for them.
    I can still navigate in the navigation pane - and the preview of the pdf comes up in the right-hand column.

    OK, I have just restarted Zotero in normal mode, and the problem has not recurred (yet). I worked for several hours with Zotero before this happened, so it may be sporadic. If it happens again, I'll try to capture a Debug ID.
    Note that restarting Zotero now takes a long time (due to the time it takes for items to load). So if it happens again in normal mode I'll let you know on this thread before trying to capture it.

    OK, it has just happened again in normal mode, but unfortunately, the fault did not reproduce in debug mode, so I haven't been able to capture it. D41868085

    I'd guess that this is just related to the slow loading time, which can happen in libraries with a large number of annotations. This is fixed in the latest Zotero beta and will be fixed in Zotero 8.0.1 soon.
