Problems with Zotero Connector and PDF downloading on Win11
Hi,
I guess this topic has probably come up before, either here or in the knowledge base, but I couldn’t really find it — so apologies in advance if someone’s answering this for the nth time.
My setup: Win11 with Edge and Chrome, plus two other laptops on Win10 that don’t have this issue. All of them are running the latest Zotero versions.
I’m having trouble with automatic PDF downloads via the Zotero Connector on my Win11 laptop. On open-access sites where “Download” buttons are usually available (e.g., MDPI, Springer Nature Link, ScienceDirect, Frontiers, etc.), the Connector works perfectly fine on my Win10 devices. But on my main Win11 machine, Zotero only saves the indexed article data — sometimes with a Snapshot, sometimes not, but no PDFs at all. The only case where it works properly is if I open the same article on ScienceDirect through their built-in PDF viewer, in which case the Zotero Connector icon changes to a PDF symbol.
Is there any fix for this issue, or is it something related to Win11 that’s still unresolved?
Best regards,
Piotrek

Piotr.Szczygiel.VetPlanetThank you, my savior. Didn't notice it since I think it was automatically turned on for my other devices.
