Word 2007 Ribbon

I expect this has probably been discussed before, and may even be in the wrong section. If so I apologise, please just point me in the right direction. (I did try searching with no success)

Anyway...

Why does the word 2007 add in still only use the tiny icons which are hard to understand, when there is all that ribbon space available now. Would love it if it was updated to be more clear, like the endnote web add in.

    I guess how much space you have depends on any other add-ins you have, but I agree that people will generally have more space in word 2007.

    One question for someone involved with plugin development: is it possible to specify different icons for the different word versions supported by the plugin? If that bit is trivial I might have a go at designing some icons which fit in better with the ribbon when I have a bit of free time.
