abstracts not saved when attachment open

Opening an article attachment, I read it and simultaneously compose an abstract for it and add tags in the item panel. When I close the attachment, the tags have been saved for the article, but not the abstract. Is this a bug?

It looks like there's just a refresh issue — if you click away from the item and back, you should see the updated abstract. We'll fix.

This should be fixed in the latest Zotero beta.

Yes, this now seems to work for abstracts, as you say. Seems strange, though, that it wouldn't update already when you shut the opened attachment and just continue working on the item itself, which would assure you the change had taken. This doesn't seem to be an issue for adding tags.

Why would you need to go away from the item to another one for the change to take place? Why wouldn't it take place when you closed the attachment but still stayed in the item?

As I said, it was a bug with refreshing that we've now fixed.
