Removing the dot/comma between the Journal name and the volume number

Good day, everyone.

It looks like Xotero automatically places a dot or a comma after the journal name in the bibliography. I am trying to take it away so that:
Journal of Zoology, 40: 12-13
looks like:
Journal of Zoology 40: 12-13

I have done quite a bit on the visual CSL editor and have even combed through the Zotero editor, but I struggle to find how this comma can be removed. Any ideas?

Regards
CK

The guidelines (from 2022) show this:

How to cite a Journal Article:
Halverson, L.J., Clayton, M.K, and Handelsman, J. (1993). Variable stability of antibiotic-resistance markers in Bacillus cereus UW85 in the soybean rhizosphere in the field. Molecular Ecology, 2: 65–78.
  • ...Ecology, 2...
The above is the comma I would like to have removed.
  • I'm aware what you want to remove. But I don't think that the guidelines show that comma should be removed.

    (line 188 sets the comma)

Oh, no, I just used Trinity CD as an example. I am trying to create the referencing style that the Department of Zoology at the University of Pretoria insists on:
