Zotero repeated fails to synch and often stops responding. Error code 1344617050

I tried repeatedly closing and reopening Zotero but each time it opens it syncs until it throws an error. I have tried reinstalling Zotero, but this does not help.

Error code: 1344617050
  • Files above 4 GB are not currently supported
    You have a very large file in your library (most likely a video file) that's currently too big to sync. Paste HIEBTVY4 into the Zotero search bar in All Fields & Tags mode to see the attachment in question.

    Right-click → Show File, drag the file to your desktop, delete the attachment in Zotero, and empty the trash. Then, if you like, add it back as a non-syncing linked file.
  • Thanks, I suspected something similar. Can you tell me please how you were able to detect that HIEBTVY4 is too big so I can detect such problems in future?
  • When I past HIEBTVY4 into the Zotero search bar in All Fields & Tags mode no results are returned.

    It's in one of your group libraries (beginning with "Tu").

    The underlying error is in the error report, but we have a ticket to show a clearer error in the UI for this.
  • Thanks, moving the file to trash seems to have resolved the problem.

    Can you tell me please how I can find a bad file if this ever happens again?
