Issues with Syncing files from computer to online library to iPad app
Hi I am fairly new to using Zotero, but I’ve been organizing and annotating resources with it for my phd work for the past year or so.
I recently downloaded the app for my iPad with the hope of continuing to read/annotate while I travel. However, none of my attachments were showing up.
At first I thought it was because I maxed out my storage so I got the lowest annual plan, but when that didn’t change anything, I looked more carefully at my online library and I noticed that while there are attachments listed, none of them are view/clickable. When I uploaded a couple directly to the online library, they still were not accessible on either my computer or iPad applications, though I was able to read them online.
I tried to read through some of the support articles here, but I’m not a tech person and I don’t really understand it all. I tried to follow some of the instructions here, I keep getting confused. Looking at my Data Directory, it seems like it's normal? But when I go to Tools > Manage Attachments, I can’t click on ‘Convert Linked Files to Stored Files…’ which is maybe a problem?
Thankfully I haven’t lost any of my organization or annotations on my computer application but I’m scared that I will if I keep poking at this without a clear idea of how to fix/manage synching my attachments.
Can someone(s) help me? Or should I cut my loses and try to organize my research in a different way all together?
