I just had to switch laptops, and I'm setting up Zotero on my new one. When I look at my zotero web library - and sync it to my new laptop - and I click on one of my main collections, only 7 items appear, whereas there should be thousands (and those thousands do appear in the zotero on my old laptop). The right hand pane says "7 items in this view", but if I navigate to any of its subcollections, there are clearly more than this altogether. This is a problem because I often want to search this whole collection for certain authors, keywords, etc..., but I can't do that right now.

The top level "My Library" collection does contain all 3634 items on both my laptops and my web library, and also actually shows those items in the list.

I tried buying the Unlimited zotero storage, going to sync settings on zotero on my old laptop, choosing "Replace Online Library" under the reset options, and hitting reset, but this doesn't seem to fix it. Also, when I add new items to subcollections in this collection, they don't appear in the top-level collection view either.

Any help would be much appreciated.
