Citing GitHub source code with URL?

Hi,

I want to cite a Software in GitHub. The citation is shown as:
Mrinal K. Bera and Wei Bu. 2021. LSS_Reader, interface at NSF’s ChemMatCARS. .

but I want the citation can include the URL. How should I do? I have click "include URLs of paper articles in reference" on Citation options, but it still didn't show up in biophysical journal citation style.

Which citation style?
And which item type do you currently use for this item?

Hi,

it is for biophysical journal and I choose Web Page as the item type

While the guidelines state to cite software like other items (books etc.), the style improvement you'll find below improves a variety of things, including the support of "webpages". Using the item will print out an URL now. Of course, you should be using the item type "Software", but that's up to you in the end.
