Plugin does not work no matter what I try

I have a 2016 Macbook with Monterey and Word version 16.89.1. I have followed every instruction but the plugin will not work. Also, most of the instructions are still tailored to Zotero 6. I even tried to remove Zotero 7 and install the previous version. Any time I click "add citation" it gives me a message stating: "run-time error '53': file not found:user32"

It is not clear what you mean by "every instruction". There is a specific web page to help you provide information and receive better assistance https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems

@a_quinonesortiz: You should start by updating to a current version of Word. 16.89.1 is over a year old.
