Zotero 7 and Retraction Watch - No longer available?

I was doing a demo for my colleagues yesterday. I selected two papers from the most cited retracted papers on Retraction Watch and added them into Zotero via browser plugin. Unfortunately, Zotero did not detect it, like it did in Zotero 6. So, no retracted folder, no banner. Quite embarrassing in the demo. Was this feature removed for Zotero 7?

The feature is still available.

What's a DOI you're trying? Can you provide a Debug ID from Zotero for saving the item and not getting a retraction notification?

That's the DOI of the preprint, which isn't in the Retraction Watch database. Only the DOI of the journal article (10.1016/j.ijantimicag.2020.105949) is.

Are you sure that it is not in the database? It is on the Retraction Watch Leaderboard with that link https://retractionwatch.com/the-retraction-watch-leaderboard/top-10-most-highly-cited-retracted-papers/

I don't see that link on the top-10 list (just the link to Sciencedirect, i.e. the journal DOI), but you can also just try this out, the retraction database is searchable in a browser interface:

You can also see on MedRxiv that the preprint is not retracted but only refers to the retraction note of the article proper: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.03.16.20037135v1

The science direct link does not trigger the Retraction Warning either. I had both in the screenshot above.

You imported that from google scholar, which didn't grab the DOI, which is what Zotero/Retractionwatch use for identification (the import is also otherwise poor, not sure why it's not a journal article, e.g.). If you actually click through to Sciencedirect and use the Save to Zotero icon to import, you'll get the retraction:

I was having this issue too since I updated my Zotero. So I just made a manual tag

I pulled it from retraction watch database and it did not mark all of Fred's retractions 10.1016/j.obhdp.2010.11.002

10.1111/j.1744-6570.2011.01224.x

Hence why I make my own tag- but I also mark everything by the retracted author/ anything pending.

Those are expressions of concern, not retractions. We currently only show retractions.
