all refrence number are [1] in biblography

all references in my bibliography have number [1],how can I change it to automatically get ascending number like [1] ,[2] ,[3] and not all [1]

I have Zotero 2.0b7.6 and -WinWord-Plugin-3.0a3

thanks.

    IEEE
    some of them get number it is like [1] [1] [1] [4] [1] [6] [7] [1]
  • hmm - that's strange. They're all different references?
Can you replicate that with a new document?

    Dear Adamsmith,
1)each of them refere to different source ,one web site ,the other to a journal article and so..
    2) I can't test it in new document, when I copy all the text and create new document, citation in the text remain as field but when I want to insert bibliography or even edit the citation a pop up message tell me that you should first insert a citation, but as I told I have the citation in my doc and they keep their previous filed state .I tried to generate a report ID but this option is disabled. it means no err has happened...
  • well what happens if you create a new document and insert the same 7 or so references instead of copy and paste? I've tested IEEE style and this is not a general problem, but a rather narrow one, apparently a bug.

in that case every thing go fine, but in my first document the reference list was correct at first and upset suddenly. maybe it may happen in the new document too.
Dear Adamsmith, there is some thing wrong in bibliography editor.. as long as I remember every thing was right before I used this option to edit add some references.
in the new document also when I edit bibliography and add new reference in the middle of previous references the same problem will happen..
