Boox Note Air 5C - Zotero

Hi all,

I've recently started using Boox, and I was able to bind it to my Zotero account. The problem is that some of the pdfs that I have uploaded to my Zotero account cannot be downloaded on Boox. It received "download error" for those PDFs. Do you have any idea about the reason why I'm able to download, read, and annotate some of the pdf files but not others?

    Are you using the official Zotero Android app or Boox's built-in integration?

    Thank you for the response. I’m using the built-in integration. The problem is solved when I download the latest system update. I didn’t think at first instance that I should update the system as I bought the device a few days ago.

    Hello, I also have the Boox Note Air 5C and have connected the Zotero native binding on Boox. I can connect and download the PDFs; however, I cannot see the annotations that were already made in the Zotero app. Does anyone know how to get the annotations synced as well?

    See this in the documentation:

    "Note that annotations created in the built-in PDF reader are stored in the Zotero database, so they won't be visible in external PDF readers unless you export a PDF with embedded annotations."

    You are not able to see them, because the annotations are not merged with the pdf, but remain in zotero.
