Urgent: Lost PDF Highlights After Computer Change
Help!
Good afternoon, I hope you can help me with my problem.
When I changed computers, I wanted to export my Zotero library. The issue is that it was synchronized with the cloud and I didn’t have enough storage space. Because of that, I didn’t realize that when I exported the library, not all of the documents were exported with their in-text highlights and corresponding annotations.
However, on my old PC, in the storage folder, I can still see the files (.pdf, .zotero-ft-cache, .zotero-ft-info, .zotero-pdf-state...) that were not synced to the cloud. The problem is that I have no way to import this information into Zotero in order to recover the highlights in the documents. Do you know how I can add this information back into my library?
Thanks!

dstillmanExporting isn't a proper way to transfer a Zotero library. You should delete the Zotero data directory on the new computer and transfer your library properly.
