Zotero can't save papers from IEEE Xplore anymore
I have been using the Chrome Zotero Connector to save papers from IEEE Xplore for the longest time without any problems, but recently, the connector just shows a small red cross and fails to save the paper:

This is the case irrespective of whether I save from the IEEE webpage of the paper, as in this link: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/6272068
or view its PDF, as in this link: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=6272068
I read previous discussions reporting the same issue but nothing worked. I have tried:
1. Updating Zotero to the newest 64 bit version.
2. Reinstalling the Chrome extension
3. Making sure translators are updated in Settings> Advanced.
4. Making sure Zotero has access to the paper:
