Juris-M Word plugin

I have been trying to migrate from Zotero to Juris-M and therefore download the Word Processor. Unfortunately, I am not able to do that. If I download the newest integrator (https://github.com/Juris-M/jurism-word-for-windows-integration/releases), save as a file and try to add it in Juris-M ("Install Add-on From File"), it says the file is incompatible with my Juris-M version (which I downloaded yesterday). Certain tricks I saw other people do with Firefox are difficult/not possible for me to perform since I am not the administrator of the Laptop I am using.
  • Juris-M wasn't actively maintained over the last couple of years, but from what we've heard a new release is in the works, based on Zotero 8.
However, recently somebody presented a plugin for multi-lingual citations, if that's the feature of jurisM you're looking for:

  • Hi damnation (for some reason I was not contacted after your response). What I am trying to do is simply use Juris-M. For that, I need the Juris-M Word processor since I have been told, the Zotero Word Processor does not work reliably with Juris-M. I have tried several approaches, but I hit always, from whatever angle I approach the problem, the same roadblock: The processor file I linked above is damaged in some way.

I think that I'll wait with Juris-M until the new version comes out. Is there a website I should monitor?
  • Hi @NoamS1
Usually, what you would do is to go to Preferences > Cite > Word Processors and click on Reinstall Microsoft Word Add-In. This should reliably install the compatible version of the plugin. For me this has worked ever since the versions of Zotero and JurisM diverged and I’m constantly switching back and forth between the two. Only if you’re on a Mac you’d need to do a bit more, once after installing JurisM.
There’s a Discord channel for JurisM where you can post questions if your issues persist: https://discord.gg/JEbBctj8
  • Thank you very, very much for your help; I can't believe the solution is this simple.

How does the switching around exactly work? Can Zotero and Juris-M coexist?

(Thanks, btw, for the discord invitation.)
  • You’re welcome. Both can coexist peacefully, you can even open both side by side. Both applications have the same button in the preferences to reinstall the plugin. So you just need to remember that the Word plugins are incompatible with the other client, and when you want to use the other client you have to close all Word windows and apply the button.
