Upgrade StorageCitation in Footnote Not Applying Style Correctly (Word for Mac)

I have a large Word document, and I have now encountered the issue that the word style in the footnote is not being applied correctly when a citation is added. I'm using MLA author-date in footnotes.
New citations are always in Times New Roman, even though the correct style is selected in the quick styles list when I select the citation. Reapplying the style fixes the problem. This hasn't happened before. Furthermore, when I have the styles pane open and select a citation, it shows that no style has been applied.
I'm using Zotero 8.0-beta.16+5b82a3838 and Word 16.102.2.
