I am having the same problem, where nothing happens when I click the chrome connector Zotero button. For the past few weeks, the button is grey (embedded metadata) across most sites. Chrome and Zotero have both been updated. I tried Wikipedia as per Trouleshooting link above, and the correct icon comes up and it saves correctly, however, things that used to work no longer do such as science-direct.com .

EXAMPLE:

URL where Zotero would take a snapshot. Nothing happens when I click connector in Chrome, but it works in Incognito mode.

As in the other thread, though, see Troubleshooting Problems Saving to Zotero, and if you're still having trouble, provide all the info requested there.

Note that while you should be able to save from any webpage, that ScienceDirect URL would only produce a snapshot. It's just an AI-generated webpage, not a published article.
