sync problems after updating storage from 300M to 2GB

Hi everyone, I just met a sync problem. My account has reached 300 MB quota for zetero so I updated my plan to 2 GB. However, it still can not solve the sync problem. The error message is as follows (I have updated the plan so the storage is enough now but there is still a sync issue)

The group 'innovation_study' has reached its Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.

The group owner can increase the group's storage capacity from the storage settings section on zotero.org.

First and Foremost 2021-22.pdf (5,297 KB)
  • That message means what it says. You're not the owner of the group.

They can transfer the group to you in order to use your storage.
  • Thank you. But I didn't find any option to change the group's owner on the webpage. The owner can only set me as administ instead of new owner
  • By the way, if the folder was created by other people, and I am not the owner, but I frequently used Zotero and uploaded most of the literature. Now the quota has reached 300 MB. who should purchase the plan? Me or the owner? Thank you.

The current group owner has to initiate the group ownership transfer to you, which you then accept. Can they not see that option ? ...

  • The group has 3 members, and the current owner can set me as an admin or member but not the new owner. So he doesn't know how to change owner to me. Thank you very much. much!
  • "Groups" at the top of this page → "Manage Profile" (not the best name) under the group name → "Transfer Ownership" in the bottom right
