Files dissapearing from mac
I have been using one device (1) for Zotero to make notes and retrieve papers for the past month. I have another device (2) but it has not been used for at least a month.
I have added new papers and notes onto the new device (1) as well as imported the exported libary from the other device (2). I plan to only use this one from now. sync was on on the old device (2) but I had filled it up already which is why I imported a physical libary.
A couple weeks in and I've noticed that on my mac most pdfs had dissapeared that I recently just had access to. What happened? the folders where they are haved have the html but not the PDF. I made so many notes on the PDFs and I am sad to lose them.
I have sync on, knowing that I am reached my limit, but I don't think it would have caused files to be deleted on my device (1)?

Upgrade Storage
Attachment files are never deleted by Zotero on the device where they were created, so if you mean that they can't be found, either you deleted them outside of Zotero or, far more likely, you simply never synced them from the device where they were added because you're at your Zotero Storage quota.
It's not clear exactly what you did in terms of exporting and importing, but you should never export and import between two computers that are syncing with the same account — that's a recipe for duplicates and confusion. I'm not sure what folders you're referring to, but if you mean folders within 'storage', then no, that's not how it works. Every attachment gets its own storage folder.
