Ctrl+f search is slow

Open a long book. Ctrl+f search for some phrase. It takes 20 seconds or more to complete; much longer than Chrome takes.

Any chance it could be made faster?

    Trying on the one I have open right now:

    PDF, English, 662 pages, ~12 seconds (measured by counting aloud). Chrome finishes in <3 seconds.

    I came here because I noticed the same thing. Text search seems to be taking longer than usual. Searching in PDF files, even short ones like 15-page documents, takes around 10 seconds before any results appear.

    Highlight all is selected.

    Do you see the slow searches only after loading the PDF file, or also after reading it for a few minutes?
