Web Library not working

Hey my web library is not working on my Dell laptop (Windows 11).
I just get a dark-grey screen with the Zotero logo in the middle.

  • It usually means that the web library is loading, but some data is taking longer to download. Try reloading the page, and if that doesn’t help, see if any errors are printed to the browser console.
  • I looked at the browser console and got a error stating: Access to fetch at "my collection" from origin 'https://www.zotero.org' has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: It does not have HTTP ok status.
  • Could you post a screenshot with the console open?

From the sound of it, it’s most likely caused by a browser plugin or some security software on your computer. Does it work if you use a different browser?
  • Here is a screenshot from the whole console. I did try a different browser this time, but I got the same error again. By the way it is a laptop administered by my eployer, so it is a laptop used for my workplace. And trying the same on my private laptop there is no such error. So maybe it has something to do with my working-laptop.

  • Yes, your work network appears to be interfering with these requests. You'll need to speak to your IT department.

(If you click on the Network tab and reload the page, you should see the api.zotero.org requests that are failing, and you should be able to click on one and click on the Response tab in the sidebar to see the response, which might identify which component on your network is responsible.)
