Adding New Style Request: New Zealand Law Style Guide
Kia ora!
We need the New Zealand Law Style Guide, Third Edition to be added to Zotero's citation styles: https://www.lawfoundation.org.nz/style-guide2019/index.html
I am a law librarian at a university in New Zealand and previously we would have recommend Juris-M for research; however, as it is no longer supported we need our staff and students to be able to migrate over to Zotero. I would prefer this to Endnote, expecially since it is easier to export notes from Juris-M to Zotero.
What is the process for adding a new citation style?
Any information would be appreciated.
Ngā mihi nui,
Hannah

So far students have been using this for about a year at UC, with few reported problems. I recently made a minor correction to cross-referencing for a specific circumstance.
The closest existing citation style is Oscola, though NZLSG does not use “Ibid”, for example.
The 4th ed of NZLSG is expected in early 2026, so I am holding off adding it to the citation styles here till I see what changes may be needed.
