Bug: Citations in Google Docs do not obey text formatting
In Google Docs, added citations appear in the document default font/size (Arial 11pt) regardless of what the current font/size is set to. This is particularly irritating in footnotes, where citations still show up in 11pt font despite Docs' default text size for footnotes being 10pt.
Technical Info:
Zotero 7.0.24
Firefox 143.0.1
Zotero Connector 5.0.182
Kubuntu 25.04
Steps to Reproduce:
(1) Open a new Google Doc.
(2) Change the font and/or text size from the default.
(3) Add a new citation. (Tested with APA 7th, Chicago 18th auth-date, Chicago 18th notes-bib.) Citation text appears in Ariel 11pt font.
Notes:
* Zotero didn't previously behave this way in Google Docs. I can't remember when it changed, but I think it was within the past 6 months.
* In one document, Zotero produces citations in 12pt Times New Roman instead of 11pt Arial -- again regardless of the font selection where the citation is being added. I don't know why the default that Zotero reverts to is different for this document. However, this particular document is older than the change in Zotero's behavior, so maybe the existing font choice got locked-in somehow when the change happened? I have no idea.
* Citation formatting can be edited after the citation is generated, but resets to 11pt Arial (or 12pt TNR in the document mentioned above) whenever Zotero updates it, including when switching citation styles.

dstillmanThanks. This should now be fixed in Zotero Connector 5.0.183.
