Zotero on ipad

Hi,

I use Zotero on desktop on a daily base for citations. I just bought an ipad and was surprised that 1. I can't have the extension in microsoft word. 2. Even if I would copy paste the citations manually from the app to the word document, the references are not link to one another. Therefore, I really don't see the point of having a zotero app at all. To me this is a bit absurd. Is there a reason why we can't have linked citations in word on Ipad ? Is it apple's fault ? Can't zotero's devs find a way to make this better ?

Thank you.

We're working with Microsoft to make a Word for iOS plugin possible, but we're currently waiting (and have been waiting for a long time) for additional changes on their end.

You can use Quick Copy to copy citations to your document, but whether that makes sense for you will depend on the citation style (e.g., author-date vs. numbered) and the length/complexity of your document.

The app has lots of other functionality, including saving to your library from the browser, library organization, and PDF reading and annotation, all of which syncs back to your desktop library, so it's a bit absurd to say that that there's no other point in having the app.
  • To be honest, there are plenty of other app way better than zotero to annote or consult a text on Ipad. To each his own I guess.

Thank you for your time. It is enlightening.
