Style Error: CSE Name-Year 9th Edition

Hello, I teach classes that use Council of Style Editors Name-Year version. Yesterday, I noticed that bibliographies rendered in the 9th Edition of this style list sources in the order in which they appear in the text, rather than in alphabetical order by the first author's last name.

Is it possible to have this style corrected so that the bibliography is listed alphabetically?
  • Looking for some confirmation here, based on Damnation's post - Does this mean the style error has been fixed?
  • I've made a PR, a pull request with a fix. That needs to merged.
You can of course access the style from the PR already.
  • I just tested out the CSE 9th edition and it's still creating incorrect bibliographies. Is there a timeline for the corrected version becoming available?

I realize that damnation has said that we can access the style from the PR before it's merged, but I have no idea how to do that. Are there instructions anywhere?
  • Go to "Files changed" and then "View file" and click right on raw and "Save as...".
(Might be slightly incorrect as I'm only on my mobile)
  • Thank you! If you're ever able to provide details about how long it takes for a fix like this to become merged (I think you're using that term to mean that's the version accessed in the style repository), that would help.
  • Coming back to say that this didn't work at all for me. I can go to "Files Changed," but the rest of the options aren't available to me.

Apologies for being dense, but I don't write code at all. I'm just an end user. Can you explain this a bit more?
