Did a setting to show the file name for all files (not just for the non-primary ones) make it into Zotero yet? I could not find it. Would be much appreciated when working with books that have as attachments several chapters as PDF since otherwise, some chapter will get "hidden" under the "PDF" title and it is hard to glance at and a bit random which it is. Thanks!

@distillman: I am not sure whether this is a misunderstanding. The problem is rather that, for example, when I move pdf files into a book (from a file browser), neatly named by their chapter (name), one of those files gets displayed as "PDF". This makes it a bit cumbersome to identify pdf chapters in books. I can of course still select or open the PDF to determine its title every time I am unsure but I think that is not as comfortable as having all the titles in front of me in one list.
