Citation window opening behind other windows

I exported a group library (shared with no one else) from Zotero on a Mac to Zotero on a Linux machine. The Mac Zotero and Linux Zotero were both signed in with my account.

But when I tried to add citations into a Libre Writer document, the quick citation box appears behind the other windows.

There are also lock and .parent files are in the Zotero profile folder.

I've tried lots of things:

- reinstalling the Libre Office extension
- Making a new Zotero profile with the same library
- Making a new profile with new entries
- Setting config extensions.zotero.integration.keepAddCitationDialogRaised to True
- Deleting the xulstore.json file
- Deleting the lock and .parentlock files
restarting the Linux machine
- Unlinking the accounts

Have you seen this before? How can it be fixed?

    What Linux distro and window manager? None of the Zotero-related things you tried are relevant here. We're just not always able to reliably bring windows to the front on Linux.

    (Do you really mean "export"? You wouldn't want to use export to transfer a group library to the same account on another device. You'd end up with duplicates. The group library should just sync.)

    Sorry, I think I mis-remembered. I logged into the Linux machine and the files synced from Zotero on the Mac. I asked another person who uses Zotero with Linux and he didn't have this problem.

    Linux distro: Ubuntu
    Window Manager: X11
